Thought I would give you a look at my latest custom in progress...



Microman, KISS, Peter Criss

I made and painted his head tonight. The base head is Lobot from Star Wars, the hair is completely sculpted.

The painting was a real test of my patience. It isn't perfect, but in this scale, it was extremely tough, at least for me, to get it perfect, especially his whiskers. Maybe I am just out of practice. I see some things that could be improved, but I don't think I am going to mess with it anymore, for fear of fucking it up.

Now on to his costume!

So whatcha think so far?

Chosen, the flesh body is a Microman, Material Force figure, and yep, they have all black and all white ones as well. They are exclusive to Japanese Toys R' Us stores, so you best bet is to keep an eye on them at eBay. They aren't usually cheap, but they are sweet!

The main reason I did Peter, is because I had Microman body parts laying around that would be perfect for him. (I also have him planned for something [img]wink.gif[/img] ) The problem with doing the whole band, is Material Force figures are pricey. I really doubt I will do the whole band, but maybe. I might do Ace.

As far as nobody liking Peter, I don't give a crap, I sure do. In fact, the original lineup are the only guys I consider KISS. Also, Peter was a big reason I started playing the drums. I don't really have KISS favorites, but it goes like this.. Ace fucking rules, Peter is cool, Paul is Gene's puppet, and Gene is an asshole...but I love them all! [img]tongue.gif[/img]
